it's magical, isn't it, at dusk when all the wild tings come out. Your kitty soudns like a sweetie. I should have mentioned - I learned this doing rescue for both dogs and cats - you can use some oils, like tea tree or lavender, on dogs (diluted), but never never on cats! Their skin is very permeable and their liver will shut right down if you use essential oils on them. Glad you rescued this little guy!

I'm also a city kid who headed for the hills a few years ago. It's still a learning process. But I'd never go back to the city.Getting to sit on my porch and sip my coffee as the sun comes up and the mist lifts off the river, my horses grazing in the pasture and my dogs at my feet....and dinner still growing in my own garden...its' worth all the work, all the mess, any inconvenience in teh world.
