I was looking on twitter to see if you tweet and I didn't find anything so I guess you don't. I was just wondering how are things with you and if there's anything new in the process like maybe a new book or project. I don't think you are old enough to retire yet, are you? :)

I purchased my first new home last year and moved in August (even though my contract stated we were supposed to close last Feb. 2). Buying your first home should be an exciting, joyous experience but it has been the opposite for me. I was just buying a new, inexpensive modular home which is a small ranch because I am alone, and the builders turned out to be crooks. I have had so many problems with my house - even though it's a new home it's turned out to be a fixer-upper. I tried working things out with the builders but they keep lying to me, telling me they are going to fix things and they don't or do it wrong and make things worse. It was a dream of mine to have my own home and they made that dream a nightmare. I have been so depressed and have not done much good home cooking in over a year, I developed anemia (too depressed to coook and eat right; then anemia which made me too tired to do anything, stopped exercising, etc.), but at least I seem to have the anemia under control now and my energy is coming back so I am just starting to get my life back on track. I have to sue the builders and am still not fully settled into my house. I can't wait until I can get back to cooking like I used to. If you can recommend any quick recipes that are nutritious, please let me know - I have been making your Tofu Salad from your Nutritional Yeast Cookbook (one of my favorite and most used recipes) because it tastes great and is quick and nutritious (except I have been leaving out the fresh veggies; carrots and celery because it's quicker that way) and I have been making protein shakes cause that's quick too. When they have that prewashed spring mix on sale at the supermarket I buy some of that to at least try to get some fresh greens that I know I need. Half the time I don't feel like eating and I have to force myself to make and eat something nutritious. I have been so depressed it's hard for me to do anything.

Oh, and from all the stress and anxiety from these builders, I developed high blood pressure which I still do not have under control (average 150/90). Things are not going good at my job and I lost my health insurance last year too besides a cut in my wages (struggling to get by). I have a doctor who only charges $50 an office visit, but he is a jerk! He did not help me with my anemia - he wanted me to see all these specialists, but when I did my own research I found out my anemia was not from an iron deficiency it was from a B vitamin deficiency. I have ALWAYS taken supplements but they were not enough. Once I increased my B vitamin supplements along with the extra iron I have been taking, that's when things got better.

I've been feeling lonely on top of all that, and this board has been one of my lifelines. Thank you for always being here, I can't tell you how much it means to me.

Peace~
Silvia
