You would think that, after our cats' experience with Caine the doberman last year, we'd give up on dogs, but we're trying it again. We have adopted Larkin, a retired racing greyhound. She was retired early for losing too many races. That means a low prey drive, which is good for the cats. She has already been tested as cat safe by the foster home - in fact she's a bit afraid of them. The cats don't know that yet. They are still in hiding, but this time they're going to have to suck it up.
Larkin is a real sweetie. She is still getting used to things here, but is regaining her equilibrium after all the moving around (Florida to Colorado to Washington to Victoria, BC, to here).
