Then ASK the business owner about it. Sometimes they are not aware that something can be gotten for less. Sometimes business is so bad they will give you a lower price just to get something in the door. Trust me, I have had weeks where I did 1/2 of what I needed just to break even on my overhead. That means I have to take money from my husband's salary and subsidize a business where I work 40 hours a week. That means I can't go out there and spend money at other local businesses. And keep in mind the powder is always less than the flakes, when comparing a product, compare apples to apples. That local store can probably get and stock t he powder at very close to what someone can buy it for online, especially if you have to pay shipping. I guess my point is, when it comes to a few dollars, choose local. It comes back to you in so many ways.
