Yeah, I am beginning to find that out - I recently purchased 6 fruit trees from Kmart on sale for $10 each (2 cherry, 1 apple, 1 plum, 1 pear and 1 peach). I haven't planted them in the ground yet and they are still in the containers which I have pretty close to my house. I just noticed the deer have started nibbling on them. Good thing the trees are pretty tall and I am sure they will be okay because the deer can't reach as high as the trees are.
