![]() The fence is four feet high. I buried six inches of chicken wire below it, so it in effect starts six inches below ground. The nylon netting over top of the enclosure is attached to the top of the fence all around. That is what prevents them from climbing over, as well as keeping eagles out. The netting runs all the way around the fence, it is not continuous over the whole area of the enclosure. The neighbour's cat got in a few times (scrambling across the netting, would you believe?), scaring the bejeebers out of our cats. That's what the two strands of electric fence are for.
