Hi Jo, I was wondering if you had any info on fruit flies and was looking through your archives and saw the "antsy" question, where, in your answer, you suggest to put powdered charcoal around plants outside. Is that because ants can kill a plant?? If that is so, I was not aware of that, but I have an eggplant plant that recently died and I don't know why and I am now wondering if ants could have killed it. I see ants climbing around my vegetable plants every now and then but not a crazy amount of them and I never thought there was anything wrong with them being in my garden, but now I am wondering.
