While I 100% agree with recycling and buying from thrift stores, I personally wouldn't purchase (even used) and wear anything that contains animal products. I also wouldn't accept or wear them even if given for free. I couldn't stand the thought of wearing another animals skin/feather/fur and would rather wait til the perfect super cute vest containing no animal products was available. That way I could wear my new vest and KNOW that no animals were harmed in anything I wore, used, lived with.
