Hi - My urologist told me. I have kidney stones, and it's protocol to run blood serum tests and a 24 hour urine tests to see if any potential causes for the stones can be found. Testing showed an elevated oxalate level in my urine (it was also more alkaline than normal). Blood serum tests came back fine.
