Hi, lilmissdisney! If your friend is used to eating salt-free baked goods, it should taste just fine to her, so I wouldn't worry about it. For those of us who do use salt, a pinch does bring out the sweetness, and baked goods can taste "flat" to us without it. But for those who are used to a salt-free diet, they won't taste the difference. It's in there only for taste and really serves no other purpose, so you can just safely omit it. As a side note, it is VERY kind of you to bake for your friend. She's lucky to have you in her life!! ~Jo
