It generally takes a lot for me to go to the doctor, even when I probably should. BUT, if your life is going to be impacted that much (by not being able to run) I recommend going through with the surgery. As far as how vegan the operation will be, Jo has talked about how we have to just do our best to avoid animal products, but when we don't have a choice we shouldn't beat ourselves up about it (Those are my words not hers). What races are you planning on running? Anything up my way?
