We do a lot of the same things you're doing...so maybe I need to relax! It is one of the great pleasures of my life to watch the chickens eat grapes. They get so excited! In the summer, I get boxes of tomatoes from the farmer's market and I also give them all of our watermelon rinds, safe compost(no avocados, raw potatoes, etc.), apples(in fall). They are well fed...I'm just a worrying chicken mommy I guess. :-)
