For over a year now I have been trying to find a good pair of vegan hiking boots. I'm actually looking for hiking/backpacking boots. The only boot I can find is the "garmont vegan" but that boot hasn't been made for a least a couple of years so there are only limited sizes around. I've checked out all the vegan/vegatarian shoe stores on the web and it seems that there "hiking" boots are not really technical hiking boots but more of a hiking style boot perhaps sufficient for lite day hikes but not for the kind of hiking I want to do. I'm truly frustrated and if there is a resouce out there that I haven't found yet, I'ld love to know. I'm planning some hiking this spring and am going to wear a pair of boots that I got out of the free box (a local resouce where you put items in that you don't want and can pick up things that you do). These aren't vegan but at least I didn't buy them but I'm still going to need to buy a pair of hiking boots soon. These ones are definately showing some wear and don't have many trips left in them. Any suggestions most appreciated.
