Bob, I would suggest that you get a few books for support and information. You should also visit the Ask Jo! Archives, as many queries from new (as well as veteran) vegans are there, and you may find that your questions have already been addressed. Just follow the link below. If your convictions are strong, you won't need anyone else around you to agree or practice veganism with you. It's harder, of course, but certainly not impossible. Those of us who have been vegan for a long time didn't know anyone else like us when we started out. It's a lot easier today, with the Internet and the abundance of books, information, and products that are available. Hang in there! You can do it! ~Jo
