I want to say right up front that I have never been in exactly your situation, and that my ailments, of which there were many over my childhood and early adulthood, were of a physical nature. So this is quite different, as it's very important for people to be mentally balance. But what we do have in common is that after learning about the horrors of testing medical drugs on non human animals, I did see themin a different light and wanted to maove away from them.

I'm a bit busy today but just had the good fortune of coming across this great website, which I hope to visit regularly, especially after the holidays.

To make a long story short, due to many reasons, and not only the horrors of the suffering that animals go thru, I began to search for health in natural ways. it was a long search, so I suppose I have a long story to tell, which one day I should really put down in writing. However, I did a cleanse back in march of 1986, which was aimed at transitioning to a predominantly vegan diet including lots of raw food.

This diet changed my life, and allowed me to become a successful vege after two other attempts which were interrupted due to not finding the right path for myself.

So I have been vegan since March of 1986. The first few years there may have been a few mistakes here and there, but not more than once per month or so. After 1988 I made a commitment to minimize any errors on my part.

I believe this diet changed my life, and perhaps gave my life back to me. I was very sickly for a lot of my childhood and adult life prior to discovering the benefits of a vegan diet which includes lots of raw food, but is not 100% raw, and very easy to follow, I include lot of yummy vegan cooked foods as well. Lots to tell about that too.

In 6 weeks I was healed of long time physical health afflictions, and did not require medical treatment, including drugs, and longer. And that's how it's been for most of my life every since.

Because you are suffering from mental ailments, I think U just need to be careful, but then changing your diet if U need to is not really a huge step, and subsequently if U think of withdrawing from medications, likely best to do it under someone's direct supervision. Be careful. You are obviously a sensitive and caring person, so we wouldn't want any rash decisions to cause you harm.
