The faux meats don't usually bother me. Some I quite enjoy. I have to admit, though, the names of some of them turn me off. There's a restaurant in Salt Lake that serves a vegan "sweet and sour pork" and it sounded so bad it took us years to try it! But if they would have called it "sweet and sour seitan" that would have been fine.

My wife doesn't like faux turkey so only my older son and I will have some. I make my own. We will also have all of the usual Thanksgiving fare, but vegan, of course: Mashed potatoes and gravy, candied yams, stuffing (I'm not sure which recipe I'll use), green beans, rolls, etc. For desert I'm making my own pumpkin pie, and I'm buying a banana cream pie from a small business that makes vegan deserts. They donated some food to the Ching Farm dinner a couple weeks ago and I wanted to send a little business their way.

We're eating at my omni in-laws so we have to take all of our own food. They don't mind, which is good, and in return I'll try not to barf on their turkey!

Would you mind sharing your stuffing recipe, Anne? Sounds like you're having some yummy stuff!

And I agree that the Pecan Herb Loaf sounds great! Is is okay to share recipes out of a book? What are your thoughts on that, Jo?

Have a great Thanksgiving everyone!
