Joyful, I'm with you - I have never been a fan of the "faux turkey" products. I find the taste
and texture to be creepy - and I especially dislike the "giblet" gravy and "Wishstix" that
come with the Tofurky Feast. Shudder!

Like Jo's, our Thanksgiving feast is an assortment of favorite side dishes I've collected over
the years, such as savory bread stuffing made with Gimme Lean (sausage flavor), smashed
garlic potatoes, a gallon of herb mushroom gravy, baked sweet potatoes, roasted brussels
sprouts, a green salad and Carrots Vichy from the Joy of Cooking (my mother always made
these, and it wouldn't be Thanksgiving without them - I use Earth Balance in place of
butter). I also make homemade cranberry sauce, and this year will try a new recipe for
vegan pumpkin pecan cheezecake. It's a full day of cooking, but there are leftovers to last
for days! If you'd like any of the above recipes, please let me know.

Kathleen, your Pecan Herb Loaf sounds delicious! Can you share the recipe?
