Yes, we are having a big feast, with a whole bunch of friends coming over. But this year it's going to be a pot-luck, instead of us doing all the cooking. Wendy made walnut-pecan meatballs and a coconut-lemon bundt cake, and the other folks are bringing various veggie dishes. We have a spicy apple sauce made with home-made apples.

(In case you're wondering what I did, I was in charge of vacuuming dusting and silver-polishing.)

People should be arriving in about an hour...
