I second what Jo did. People do need to take more D2 than D3 to get their vitamin D levels up. Also, on sunny days from about Feb. 15 to Oct. 15th, I work on getting some free D for about 15 minutes a day, following Michael Greger's recommendations. His recommendations differ depending on skin color and latitude where you live. Since I now live close to the 40th parallel, I average his recommendations for those between the 30 and 40th, and those between 40 and 50th.
