However, someone injured by medical malpractice, who can't even sue, isn't going to feel empowered. Also, in states which passed 'tort reform' to stop lawsuits, like Texas, the insurance companies didn't lower premiums. Regarding his idea of "Repeal all state laws which prevent insurance companies from competing across state lines." If that idea is implemented and one state has lousy laws which lets insurance companies rip off consumers, then the other 49 states couldn't stop their citizens from being ripped off.
