Hi Jo, you know you are the best person to ask when it comes to age, not people age, but food age. I have a bottle of umeboshi plum vinegar, which you are responsible for me buying :o). I have had it for at least a year, maybe, probably more like 2 or 3 though. Is it still good? I am thinking since it is vinegar it is, but I thought I would ask. There are no numbers or dates of any kind on the bottle. I bought it because of your recipe books. It took forever for me to end up in a place that sold it and remember it while I was there that by the time I did get some I couldn't remember why I needed it and it has been collecting dust in my pantry. The other day I was searching for something new to try in my Saucy Vegetarian book and I want to try the Creamy Tarragon Dressing. Please don't tell me to trash the umeboshi, cause it may take years to get another bottle again. :o) One last thing. Yum, yum, yummy is all I have to say about the Italian Chickpea Spread in your Food Allergy book. I have been in need to diversify my beans as I always choose chickpeas and neglect any other bean and say i'll use them next time (next time never comes.) So yummy! The rest of the white beans in my fridge are going to be turned into more of the yummy "almost" spread.
