For nearly a year I pursued the vegan lifestyle...and for nearly a year, I was dogged. Ignorance ran rampant, but it ran in a pack! I succumbed to this hounding and mockery, to my shame. I left my vegan convictions. I am unhealthy today (I gained 30 pounds in three months).

Today marks a new beginning! I am true to my convictions once again. Yes, the nay-sayers will again mock me--that's the way it goes. At 51, to my ownself must I be true.
