last year a baby magpie was being picked on by dogs they almost killed her like they did her brothers and sisters. I took her in my house her mother was screaming at me and so was the bird. She only lived 2 days in my house. I always wonder what would have happened had i left her with her mother. I tried to feed her and give her care... You did the best you could for that chipmunk. DOnt feel bad.
