I agree with what Lisa said, Silvia. You did your very best to help him. He is at peace now, and you must make peace with that as well. It is not always easy to accept, but nature has a way of balancing itself. Some animals have health problems (mental or physical, just like people), and it really does come down to survival of the fittest in "the wild." That's not necessarily a bad thing -- it ensures evolution of the strongest genes. Your little guy may have had problems that would have prevented him from surviving no matter how long you had tried to help him. He needed to be free, even if that freedom cost him his life. Take comfort in knowing that you gave him much happiness that he would not have otherwise known. Hugs,
