I have been trying to do 'way too much stuff. Working on the ongoing guest cabin renovation. It is almost habitable, but we are under a deadline, since we want to billet one of the writers for the writers' festival in June. It is looking good, but holy cow, what a lot of work! Trying to get the garden going. I have started some lettuce, spinach and carrots, but I am falling behind on weeding. And I have to get the electric fence working so the raccoons stay out. Because of our ongoing drought, I want to install another rainwater cistern for garden irrigation, but my back isn't up to all the digging required for the underground pipes. I am looking after my mother while my brother is off on a well-deserved vacation. It means a five-hour two-ferry trip (each way) every weekend, including one leg that has to be driven over the speed limit in order to make the ferry connection, or else it becomes a six-hour trip. Luckily, the road has been dry each time so far, because the highway is prone to hydroplaning - you can't do the limit if it is wet. Work, of course. I am (not) working right now. :-) Fire Department stuff. I am now the Assistant Training Officer. We have had two brush fires to put out so far this season. Keith
