My kitchen didn't have anywhere near enough room for all my cooking utensils and supplies, so I up and built a pantry cabinet that sits right next to the kitchen now. I originally intended to just get some boards and cinderblocks and create a makeshift one and put a tarp over it. However, I decided to give it a shot at making something more substantial. I bought pine boards and had them cut to my specs. Then I sanded and finished them and put them together with angle brackets, screws, hinges, and door latches. Here's the result: This is a miracle. I'm not a super gifted handyman type, but I managed to pull off making my own custom piece of furniture without it being a piece of junk. Now everything doesn't have to be crammed into my kitchen. I'll have much more room when cooking.
