Subject: Awesome local market trying to be more vegan-friendly!

I just wanted to tell you all about the Produce Exchange, it's a small market here in Minneapolis at the Midtown Global Market. They have a good selection of organic produce and have always offered products like soymilk, tofu, etc. Recently, I got an e-newsletter from them which highlighted their new vegan food items. They said they welcomed more suggestions on how their store could be more vegan friendly. (They are also trying to get more gluten free options.)

I had the most wonderful email exchange with them. I literally suggested that they buy certain products, and they have responded that those items will be on the shelf very soon. How awesome!

Since this market is just a mile away from my home, I can easily bike there when the weather is warm or stop there on my way home from work. It's nice also because my neighborhood is so racially diverse, and many of us don't make much money. Usually those neighborhoods are stuck with a variety of unhealthy, processed foods from a supermarket. It's nice that we've got something like this now. Perhaps it will make for healthier eating in this community.

If you're in Minneapolis, you should check out the Produce Exchange. The whole Midtown Global Market is awesome. Lots of local, ethnic vendors. Food and more. Sometimes they even host live music. Very Cool!
