I too have low blood sugar and have often experienced the symptoms that you spoke of. In the past few years, actually since I became vegan now that I think about it, I have been able to control it much better. I eat every few hours, even it is just a handful of nuts. I don't really eat any refined foods. I do eat white rice about once a week and I notice that I am hungry soon after. I also eat much less sugar now that I am vegan since I don't eat most baked goods. I was having really bad night sweats and once it was determined that my estrogen levels and hormone levels were normal we attributed it to low blood sugar (I have a great doctor). So, my doc suggested that I eat some protein right before bed. But, I'm not usually hungry that late and after several times of trying to force down peanut butter late at night or some other protein I felt kind of nauseated. So, I started drinking a glass of soymilk before bed. The night sweats stopped! I have moderately low blood sugar, not super low, so these things have worked for me. I find if I am mindful I don't get to the point where I feel like I could eat just about anything. Hope this helps! Good luck!
