Subject: Sugar content of Yams, Sweet Potatos, and Pumpkins?
Date: October 19, 2007 at 4:58 pm PST

Hi! I originally posted this at the Sugar Free forum, but as you
know, it is a very slow forum, and I thought you wonderful people
could help me out here.

Due to the fact that I have Candida, I can't have natural sugars. So I
was wondering if any of you know the sugar content of Yams and Sweet
Potatos?

I do use pumpkin since it says on the can that 1/2 c. has 4 grams
sugar, so I figure when I bake it in something, I am not getting very
much sugar.

I would really like to make either some Yams or Sweet Potatos this
season, but I hesitate due to the fact that I know their sugar
contents must be higher than pumpkin.

Would appreciate any info. on this! THanks!
