Hello! My name is emily, I'm 20 years old and live in Boston. I went
vegetarian when I was 11 and went vegan 6 months ago (Thanksgiving
2004). My boyfriend is omni, but eats mostly vegetarian at home, and
we both love to cook. I also have an orange fluffy kitty, Winston
(about 2 yrs old), that we adopted from a rescue group. I hope to
adopt another one when we move into a bigger apartment.

I received my degree in Mathematics at Westminster College in Utah and
hope to be an actuary soon. So I work full time, study part time for
the actuary exam, and split the rest of my time between knitting, my
boyfriend, and sleeping. Oh, I love to knit. I learned how 3 years
ago and now I can't stop. I only knit with synthetics, or cotton if I
want something luxurious! I'm very intersted in "soy silk", yarn made
from the by-products of soybeans!

I have been lurking since December with only the occasional post, but
have learned a lot from everybody here.
