Greeting: Howdy!

I am 50 and married to the sweetest woman in the world, who happens to
also be vegan. I went vegetarian about 23 years ago, and vegan 9 years
ago. I am a Buddhist, and the Buddhist outlook on life is what prompted
me to become vegan. I love the health benefits as an added bonus.
As I write this, my wife and I are in the process of moving to beautiful
Denman Island, British Columbia. We are looking forward to rural life
in a small but close-knit community, and to weekends kayaking on the
waters of the Strait of Georgia.
When I'm not hanging out on VegSource, I am a computer nerd; I do system
management and website design. Before that, I was an Air Force pilot.
For a complete change of pace, I recently completed my training as a
mediator, and have been volunteering with a local organization to help
people resolve neighbourhood disputes.
