Greeting: I've got questions!

So; how many hundred/thousand/whatever animals are actually saved by
me (and/or anyone else) not devouring them? I mean; it isn't like
slaughter houses are notified when someone changes their diet...
Aren't just as many animals being bred and slaughtered? Aren't there
still just as many negative environmental consequences? What are the
ACTUAL impacts of veganism? Like percentages and stuff... Does it only
boil down to VERY gradual decline? If so, HOW gradual? Are the impacts
actually as dramatic as most of the information on veganism I've read
claims? I mean; does it ACTUALLY have ANY kind of impact upon
anything? Do 1,000 vegans even save one cow from becoming dinner? A
square foot of the rainforest? The ozone? Anything? Answers answers
answers PLEASE! Any information is appreciated; please clue me in.
