I'm 29 years old, and I live in Newport, New Hampshire. I'm married to
Eric (a meat-eater who is supportive of my lifestyle), and I have a
beautiful 3-year-old son named Peter (a vegetarian, but not a vegan).

I've been a vegetarian for eight years and a vegan for two months. I
went vegan because with my 30th birthday looming over me, I wanted to
find a way to start making the world a better place. Veganism seemed the
absolute best way to do that.

I am a mostly stay-at-home mom; I also teach piano lessons in my home
eight hours a week, and I direct the Junior Choir at our church. I am
"unschooling" Peter, and I plan to continue to do so when he reaches
school age.

I think of myself as a "liberal" Christian; I believe in the central
tenets of Christianity, but I do not see my way as the only true path;
it's the path that is right for me.
