Thank you for taking a stand. If we don't protect our world for our children, who will? With gratitude for the gift of our children, we protect them and keep them safe. I believe that the Bush administration used religion to further his political career. I don't believe it was for the glory of God, but for the glory of himself and the power it gave him. Anyone can claim they are doing God's will and use your beliefs and values to gain your support, but it doesn't make it true. It doesn't make them Godly or just or good. It just makes them liars.
I grew up believing in America the land where we were free to believe, where my forefathers came and fought for that very freedom. I believe in Separation of Church and State. How else can we guarantee that freedom? Are you free to teach your own children, your values and beliefs? Does your church support your right to vote freely? If they don't they are jeopardizing their very existence. If you know you could never have an abortion, due to your beliefs, no law could make you do it. Will we trade that law for the lives of our just grown children who may have to fight in a war, when we may not be able to afford our own homes right now? God's gift of Free will. Is it still free?
