Though I supported Ron Paul, technically a Libertarian like me, I now support Palin/Mccain. Since there is no party that really cares about animals, you have to pick what fits best with your beliefs and ideas on what philosophy would make a better world. For me, it's small limited government. This is the ideal of the GOP though it no longer lives up to it. The drifting towards communism that both major parties are doing seems to always end in a mountain of skulls. What communist country is peaceful and kind to animals or humans? They all end in some form of genocide. I'll bet that Mat Scully disagrees with much that the Bush admin. has done, as do many Conservatives, but like me, he thinks the other party would be even worse for the country. Among other issues, I'm a strong supporter of gun rights even though I discourage hunting. So I have to go for the lesser of 2 evils-Palin/Mccain. Not having a wolf killer in the white house won't help the wolves any but the other policies of the opposition will cause great damage. The wolves will be killed anyway and we can continue to fight for them.
