The American neoconservative movement is the mirror image of fundamentalist Islam. Based on the work of Kristol, Schmitt, and Fukuyama, and put into practice by Cheney, Bush, and Rumsfeld, and later Condi Rice and Alberto Gonzales, they use force around the world to access their own world domination under the guise of pushing "democracy." Neoconservatism is based on a cultural ideology that rests on nostalgia, resentment, and shared destiny. Just as Islamic fundamentalism is.
The neocons are no less dangerous than Islamic fundamentalism. I'd argue they are more dangerous.
