But to me it is a completely different question. You are talking presumably about 2 kids already born, v. a cell clump that can't survive outside the mother's body. Huge difference there in terms of rights.

But I can't think of what a case like that might be. Maybe the parents say to the doctor, we want our kids unjoined even if it means one dies. And the doctor says, "sorry, no way." So the parents sue for the right to make that choice. I don't know. Conjoined twins are not something I give a great deal of thought to, so I don't know what the arguments are pro and con.

Only that it would be a nightmare to give birth to conjoined twins. What a bummer.

(I'm not a big fan of rugrats in general anyway.)
