Seriously, people, on both sides, lets calm down a little.
That VegSource has chosen not to take down Scully's page is not the end of the world.
That VegSource has endorsed the democratic candidates is not the end of the world.
What will be the end of the world is if we all keep freaking out at this crazy fever pitch. Believe me, I have my own strong views on the subject, but I'm not going to berate VegSource for making a choice. It's their right, just as it's our right to make the opposite choice. Isn't it great that we live in a society where we get to make CHOICES?
Yeah, it sucks that Scully's beliefs seem so irreconcilable. That's really his burden to bare, not ours. The site that VegSource is not taking down is not a pro-Palin site, it's an animal welfare site. Those are good, right? And we'd like all people, from all political parties, to have somewhere they feel comfortable going to learn about animal rights, right? You don't have to go there. But if the conservative right feels a little better about being for animal rights because a fellow conservative said it, and animals get treated better for it, hurrah, right? Right.
And for those of you who wish to leave because VegSource is supporting the Democratic ticket...okay, bye...You've been happy with the information here so far, but if you can't handle that other people in this world, and in this country, have different opinions, I guess you really should go somewhere else. You're welcome to stay. I'm not going to leave just because there are Republicans around, that would be silly.
So everybody just...calm down. Send a little light and love out into the world, instead of all of this hate and frustration. Please?
