We maybe cutting off our noses to spite our face, here. I think it would be helpful as a movement overall...to focus on the GOOD instead of being ready to cutting people "out" who don't perfectly fit our exact ideas. Scully has been enormous help and has been the greatest source to bring in religious conservatives. That is GOOD for the animals, no? No one else has been able to do this as well. In order to really succeed, we need to bring in ALL types of people into our movement. I think it would be helpful to enlarge our tent to ALL who want to help animals...no matter their political affiliations. Let's focus on their kindness to animals instead of minute differences. It would be terrible to alienate this man who has done so much. Let's exercise that quality of tolerance. IT's not easy but that is what tolerance is...to deal with something you do not like. Let's wait to hear what he says first before banishing a man who has done so much for our cause. I've been around many activists...we are diverse as it should be. If someone does good for the animals I am not going to reject him overall because we don't agree on x,y and z. Flexibility is key here.
