its the end of the school year and here i am taking standardized tests. now i dont know about u but for me tests are just another way that schools say be different(i expect u not to copy off each other. please hand in differnt papers.)and then expect us to all do well on a test thats the same. iknow how else can we mesure what uve learned and tell who worked hardest...yah de yah de yah. so what? there are the average kids who are good at taking tests (guessing) and then theres geniuses who suck at testing and then we dont get a different option. wouldnt it be better to have everyone write an essay on what they learned and send that into the ed department? i know that some kids arent good at writing theyre good at talking. so for them tape a speech about what they learned and send that in. but no this would never happen. it would require that a human ( as in not a machine) sit down and listen. what is happening to america? no wonder we're only seventh in the world in math and sicence. anyone want to tell the government were still in the top ten? peace |
