I hbitually keep a lot of tabs open on my browser (Firefox) to keep sites handy. I am running Linux with KDE and noticed on my performance monitor that my processor is running at or near 100% all the time. This slows me down a bit as I've got a rather slow computer (in the kitchen, 500 mhz). I've narrowed the culprit down to Vegsource. It's a great site and I like to keep it open, especially in the kitchen, but I don't like that kind of performance drain or what it may do to my processor running like that all the time. I can't help but think it's some of the advertising causing it. Any ideas?
