I have been a lacto-ovo veg with a close-to-vegan diet for over 16yrs for moral reasons. I also have recently been diagnosed with endometriosis. Now my vegan nutritionist, my acupuncturist, and my veg mother have recommended that I start eating fish or taking fish oils. I have flat out refused. . . but from all that I have read, it is possible that it could help with my problems. Morally, I dont think I could do it, and I would think that with all the toxins in fish that I could actually be harmful. Still, I am in a lot of pain and the alternative treatments for endo are not all that appealing either. Anyone care to weigh in on this? If you have any other dietary recommendations for people with endo, including something that will benefit me as much as the fish oils, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!
