It's tough enough
maintaining a vegetarian or vegan
life style in your own neck of the woods; but eventually you learn
where to shop and what restaurants offer meals suited to your own
particular needs. It gets harder when you travel, vacation or move
to a new location.
With this in mind, VegSource
is now offering an advisory service as part of its policy of promoting
a vegetarian/vegan lifestyle.
Relying on input from our far-flung
VegSource family, we have created a special service for inquiries
related to vegetarian/vegan dining throughout the U.S. and many
foreign locations.
We will respond to all requests for
information with a personalized reply. The content and amount of
information may vary, depending on the request and our ability to
develop information about a particular location.
Tell us where
and when you're going, how long you'll be there, and your specific
interests (e.g., vegetarian/vegan restaurants; health food/organic
food stores; events of particular interest related to animal rights,
nutrition, etc.). We will endeavor to compile and provide a "package,"
to the e-mail address you provide, which will address your interests.
Some information will be based on the personal experience of the
VegSource member assisting
with your request. Other information will be gleaned from a variety
of other sources.
This service is not intended to usurp
the guidance and information you may receive from your travel agency,
but is meant to provide information which would not normally be
available to you.
If you would like to receive a VegSource
Travel Advisory for your trip, please give us as much information
as possible about your intended travel, including cities you plan
to visit and your departure date.
Inputs to the development of this
service are also welcome. In addition to asking your help in developing
the concept, we are particularly interested in hearing from people
who would be willing to act as VegSource points of contact in their
respective locales.
Please e-mail us TravelVeg@vegsource.org
with "VegSource Travel"
in the Subject line.
