I don't know the translations you mentioned. The one I have is by Kato, Tamura and Miyasaka. There is also a good commentary on it (based on the same translation) by Nikkyo Niwano, called "A Guide to the Threefold Lotus Sutra".

The Lotus Sutra is one of my favourite pieces of inspirational reading.
