Good morning, A few weeks ago, I started going to a new church. I have a lot of friends who go there, and I kind of realized, if I know and respect all these people who go to this church, that says something really good about the place! One thing I'm wondering about - they have a prayer center where you can fill out a card if you have a prayer request, and people will pray for your need. I took a look at the card - one of the questions was, "If you are praying for someone else, do you have this person's permission to pray for them?" And you check yes or no. I was a tad puzzled by this. Any thoughts? I often pray for people without their ever knowing - usually for guidance for them, or courage, or that they'll discover a different way to handle their problems than striking out, etc. Sometimes I pray for people I don't even know, and I frequently pray for animals - like if I see a sign posted that someone has lost a pet. Anything wrong with that? RS
