i'm curious about something: in a post lower down, you wrote: "The Buddha taught that the cause of suffering is attachment (of any kind)" and that the way to end suffering is to put an end to attachments. you are a buddhist, and in posts you've made to various boards over time, i've noticed, you've said that you derive great happiness from your relationship with your wife. i'm just wondering how an attachment of this kind fits into the life of a buddhist, if an important aspect of being buddhist is to try to put an end to attachments. please don't take this the wrong way. i'm not being confrontational or critical or anything; i'm just curious about how it works. i'm interested in buddhism and i'm interested in relationships, and i find your take on things, in general, to be very interesting.
