Sorry, I should have been more clear. Christianity today *can* be very political, depending on where you go (like, the church I used to go to where they were telling you how to vote). The author of the article does not seem to think there is much politics in Christianity today (that is, religion dictating people's politics), but my observation has been different. That could very well be a regional thing, though. It was a big deal when some church leaders here were speaking out about this, and it did make some national news, but I heard little of the same phenomenon happening elsewhere. (Of course, I hardly listen to the news these days, so I could easily have missed it.) RS
