I like the sound that these bowls make, and I'm considering purchasing one for home meditation. I can't help but wonder if this sound will disturb my birds. I have four exotic birds (rescued from abuse and neglect, I do not condone the bird trade) and I would close my bedroom door and keep most of the sound away from where they are down the hall. But they are so sensitive in so many ways. Anyone here with bowls and animal companions? Also, the different tones, how important is it to get a specific tone. How significant is this? There is a heart chakra bowl at a local store for $195 and it produces a great tone.
