I know that I can do the research, and I am. But I thought, why not go to those that know the topics best. So I'll ask here.

What does your faith tell you about death? What happens to the body? Are there specific things that must happen to the body afterward? Does the body matter at all after death? Thanks.

Please identify the faith that you are referring to. I'm interested in any that you can provide information about, particularly the largely followed faiths of Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, and Buddhism. If your faith's belief on the topic is unique to a specific denomination, let me know.
