Good find Joy, all too often the anti-vegan groups that spout all their anti-soy propaganda try to use the thyroid issue as an example, but they always forget to mention that it's usually only the case when there is an iodine deficiency. There are always exceptions, but generally that seems to be the issue most often. Hopefully you can enjoy tofu again.
